This photo, taken on the first night of the 2025 Movement festival held in Detroit, captured the flow and freedom of one of the attendees. Finding a quiet moment within the chaos and excitement of a festival, this individual was able to carve out a space and moment of their own that drew the attention of those around them.

Quinn Banks is a 25-year-old portrait photographer and photojournalist and member of Wayne State University's Journalism Institute for Media Diversity. He has worked with publications like the Detroit Free Press, BridgeDetroit and Crain's Detroit Business in documenting a wide range of events and stories. Alongside his work in journalism, he is also a portrait photographer, working out of a studio in Hamtramck. He works to produce photos for designers, models, artists, musicians and families.
